Daniel T. Cotton, CPO

Dan Cotton is an ABC-certified prosthetist-orthotist with more than 12 years of clinical and professional experience. He is the co-founder of H.O.P.E., Inc. in Overland Park, KS. As a former staff practitioner with a national prosthetics and orthotics company, Dan was part of a multidisciplinary team that restored mobility, independence, and self-confidence to patients of all ages and functional abilities.

Dan earned a B.A. from Luther College (Decorah, IA) in 1988. He then attended the Certificate Program in Prosthetics at Newington Orthotic and Prosthetic Systems in Connecticut from 1999 to 2000. Upon completion of his residency in prosthetics, Dan passed his board exams for prosthetics in 2001. He then went on to complete his orthotic training and subsequently passed the board exams for orthotics in 2003.

Dan began his career with a national prosthetics and orthotics company in 2000 when he joined the clinical staff in Leawood, KS. In this market he was responsible for the evaluation, design, manufacture, and fitting of artificial limbs and orthopedic braces and supports. He is highly skilled in working with lower extremity amputees. He enjoys the satisfaction he receives from being an active part of a rehabilitation team that has such a positive impact on the quality of patients’ lives.
